During the meeting, the project participants solved group tasks, played a film game, and spent time in educational activities in the city's museum and park area. The children and teachers of the Lyceum had a lot of interesting creative activities where they improved their IT skills, made films on sustainability, learned Latvian language and songs, and visited the Kuldiga Digital Innovation Centre where they discussed the possibilities of artificial intelligence and virtual environments. The pupils were actively involved in the sustainability workshop activities: making soap, recycled paper seed jars, friendship bracelets, creating and answering interactive questions related to sustainability. The meeting ended with Latvian folk dancing and sports lessons at the Nordplus project camp, followed by healthy snacks for a party with lots of dancing, games and singing. During the meeting, the project participants deepened their knowledge about sustainability, improved their IT skills and of course enjoyed interacting with each other, as beautiful friendships have already been formed.

At the Rödabergsskolan School in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, students compared Christmas traditions in Sweden and Lithuania, used the Goosechase app and engaged in a team game of Christmas activities. On Tuesday, the meeting was civic and creative: we celebrated St. Lucy's Day with Christmas carols, visited the Swedish Parliament (Rikstag) and made gingerbread houses, and on the third day of the project's visit, we focused on sustainable Christmas in 18th- and 19th-century Swedish homes and the special inhabitants of the Baltic Sea bed. The fourth day of the visit was devoted to healthy living, solutions for saving the planet and getting to know the Swedish language through discussions and interactive activities in practice.

The students and their teachers took part in the education "Let's build a planet", in the City Lab, a sustainable development workshop where they learned Lithuanian, sewed a friendship kilt and made eco-friendly soap. • From 27 March to 1 April, 13 students from the MPolo, Columbus and DaVinci classes of VMU Lyceum Socratus, accompanied by their Spanish teacher Maria Martinez Bort and their first year teacher Jovita Aksamit, started the Erasmus+ project "Los valores a traves del arte/ Values through art" in Croatia. The students learnt about the country's history, educational features, visited famous local sites, studied and interacted with Croatian students.
  • From 23 to 27 May, our Lyceum hosted the third international meeting of the Erasmus+ project "Los valores a través del arte/Values through art" No. 2020-1-ES01-KA229-082202, during which project partners from Šibenik Secondary School (Croatia), including 4 teachers and 12 pupils, as well as pupils from Spain (by distance learning), joined our pupils in a wide variety of activities to learn about the best possible way of getting to know the European values, through the arts and beyond. Throughout the week, the pupils improved their communication and cooperation skills and had several opportunities to showcase their creativity. On Tuesday, divided into 5 different teams, the Croatian and our Lyceum students used natural materials found in nature: leaves, stones, flowers, twigs and conkers to create some really beautiful mosaics, which, when laid on the meadow, delighted the inhabitants of the surrounding houses. On Thursday, with theatre teacher Sigita, the pupils created short sketches, showing how much can be shown without speaking: through emotions, movement, facial expressions, etc. On the last day of the meeting, all the participants, together with music teacher Eirim Velička, tried out body percussion, and got so seriously into it that the rhythm went from Vilnius to Spain! And of course, during the meeting we paid a lot of attention to learning about the history and culture of the partner countries: the students prepared presentations and quizzes about their own country, we visited the State Cognition Centre, and we learnt about Lithuania's magnificent history during our visits to Trakai and Kernavė (thanks to our English teacher Gražina and history teacher Lina for the fun experiences and good mood). The project partners had a unique opportunity to get to know the whole school community by participating in the "Socrates Feast"! We are glad that the Spanish teacher Maria "looked after" the project partners throughout the week, spreading good cheer to everyone and involving the Spanish partners (even when participating from a distance) in the activities in a very skilful and active way.
